8/11/2004 Cold Cold…. COLD!!! This morning I was out shooting video for The Weather Channel of the record cold temps in Minneapolis, MN. This is crazy cold!!!

8/9/2004 Dog Days Of Summer? Yeah Whatever, Its Hella Cold Here!!!!

Brrrrrrrr Chilly And Windy In Minneapolis Minnesota. This afternoon I was out shooting video for The Weather Channel of the cool, no, COLD and windy weather in Minneapolis. What is up with this weather? If this weather pattern keeps up, its going to be a hella evil winter in the upper Midwest and Minneapolis is going to have one of those old school hella cold and snowy winters. I guess that’s good and bad. Good because I will be busy all winter but bad because I will be a frozen videographer all winter… Oh Yeah, I got the new laptop working now.

Shot some lightning and heavy rain video for The Weather Channel early this morning from the overnight storms.

About 90 minutes ago, I just wrapped up shooting some severe weather video in Mitchell County Iowa. The video shows a very large wall cloud and funnel with lightning as well as more funnel clouds and lightning and high winds.

Still Banging My Head Against The Wall With The New Laptop Computer Issues. I had a nice break after midnight this morning and was able shoot some lightning from home again.

So I was able to play Videographer for The Weather Channel while I was shooting the photographs.

Below is the link to the video that was aired. After I shot the lightning footage, I had to go back out after sunrise to shoot some daylight video for the morning shows. All in all a very busy morning.

Sun Dogs. While banging my head on the wall trying to get the new laptop setup for on the road video editing, I took a break and relaxed on one of my decks that faces to the west. The next thing I know I’m  seeing some Sun Dogs.

I thought it was kind of odd since I normally see them in the middle of winter and its the first week of August. And “NO” that is not a UFO in the photo but an airplane. I put in a zoomed in image next to the plane that shows that it is a plane.

8/6/2004 The work never stops… I got called by one of the producers at The Weather Channel to see how fast I could get some video out of Minneapolis.

I normally get the call in the middle of the afternoon but today it was already after 4pm with a 6pm deadline and I still had to deal with major Minneapolis grid lock traffic. Yep, I pulled it off and ended up making someones day by getting a quick video clip of them getting their wedding photos taken in the Rose Garden on TV. It was kind of funny because after I shot the video, they asked what I was doing and then the bride was hella happy and saying she loves that channel 🙂

Another Cold Morning In Minneapolis Minnesota with temps back down in the low 60s at sunrise this morning while I was out shooting video for The Weather Channels, First Outlook morning show. Not much weather coming this way for a few days, looks like I can focus on more BNVN stuff to get that site updated.

Ok, the storms were a TOTAL BUST and nothing happened. But I was able to get out and play with the new digital still camera some more and take some cool scenic photographs near Henderson Minnesota.
